Byron Bay

Even though a few days of lounging on the beach is typically enough of a holiday, there are many amazing things to see and do to in the greater Byron Bay region

The most easterly beach in Australia - and also one of the most beautiful. Best for swimming and surfing. You’ll find BBQ and picnic tables available to cook up breakfast or lunch. At the far end of the beach you can take the steps up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse.

The Pass

A well known surf spot with a long gentle wave which wraps around the headland. Climb the stairs above the rockpools for a birds eye view of the longboarders.

A scenic bridge between Cape Byron State Conservation Area and Broken Head Nature Reserve. Often a little more exposed and wild.

Lighthouse walk

Enjoy spectacular coastal views along the Cape Byron walking track that takes you on a hike through rainforest, beach, grassland and clifftops to the lighthouse.

It’s a 3.7km loop from town and the best walk in Byron Bay.

Minyon Falls

Minyon Falls walking track leads through rainforest to a scenic waterfall in Nightcap National Park, in northern NSW.

13km return.

Learn to Surf

If you’ve ever wanted to learn to surf, now is your chance! The Pass and Main Beach provide awesome green waves or white wash that is perfect for learners. There are a range of surf schools to choose from or you can hire soft boards in town and take on the challenge yourself.

Sea Kayaking

A tranquil way to view the bay from the sea! More often than not you will be greeted by an entourage of dolphins and sea turtles.

For most companies, if you don’t see dolphins, you get to do another trip for free!
